Andes Journeys
Andes Journeys is the non-fishing branch of Rios Azules, the company responsible for Estancia de Los Rios, Fundo El Salto, the Coyhaique Rivers program and the Rivers of the Chilean Fjords program. They offer a wonderful array of some of Chile's unique natural and cultural treasures for the active traveler. Walking, horse-back riding, wine tours, bird watching & local culture traveling to off the beaten path areas. The Atacama
Desert in Northern Chile, is a vast expanse of salt
flats, gravel plains, eroded valleys, turquoise lakes, powerful geysers
and thermal springs. Combining the adventure of outdoor life with

a city declared a cultural monument of humanity by UNESCO and is
also the main commercial port of Chile. The city is a vital cultural
center, boasting a labyrinth of streets and cobblestone alleyways,
embodying a rich architectural and cultural legacy. Some of the many
points of interest of Valparaiso are; the historic monument to the
heroes of Iquique, Prat Quay, the historic and unique funicular railways,
(more than 15, the oldest dating from 1883) and several buildings
which are national monuments, among them, "La Sebastiana" home of
Nobel prize laureate, poet Pablo Neruda. ![]()
The Southern
Fjords of Chile are the last frontier,
a vast area of coastal land with hardly any human habitation and
not accessible by roads, that has remained unexplored until now.
